Frequently Asked Questions
?
Q: What is a ‘ProctR’?
Easy! ProctR is just our rebranded term for a property manager. It’s short for ‘Property Contractor’ (see what we did there?!). Essentially, they are the people that you would need to contact if you have any questions or concerns about to your rental arrangement.
?
Does ProctR charge any fees for tenants?
Absolutely not! It’s free for tenants to sign up and use the app to pay rent.
?
Q: How do I sign up?
Signing up is easy. Simply download the ProctR app on the app store and create an account. Once that’s done, the ProctR of your property will send you a request to add you on a property. From there, you can do everything you need to do - including paying rent through ACH transfers.
?
Q: Is my payment information secure?
ProctR partners with Stripe to facilitate convenient and secure rental payments. You can rest assured that your information is in good hands.
?
Q: Can I communicate directly with my ProctR through the app?
Since we are still in beta, the app does not yet support direct communication through the app. However, once you are added as a connection to a particular property, you are automatically given access to the ProctR’s phone number and email address should you ever need to contact them.
?
Q: What happens if I have an issue with my property?
Any questions that you have concerning your properties should be directed toward your ProctR. They will be happy to help!
?
Q: Can multiple tenants on the same property use the app?
Yes, multiple tenants on the same property can create accounts and use the app to stay informed and communicate with the property manager. However, only one tenant can make rent payments for the property at a time. This ensures clear tracking of payments and helps avoid confusion. Tenants can coordinate among themselves to decide who will handle the payments each month.
